ROBOTIC SURGERY
In May 2004, Metro Urology’s first da Vinci® surgical team successfully completed their first daVinci prostatectomy at St. John’s hospital in Maplewood, Minnesota. Since that time Metro Urology’s Robotics Surgery Team has completed more than 2000 successful daVinci® surgeries at United Hospital, North Memorial Hospital, Regions Hospital, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Mercy Hospital, and St. John’s Hospital. By integrating ROBOTIC technology with our surgeon’s skill, the da Vinci® System enables surgeons to perform precise minimally invasive, nerve sparring surgery in a manner never before experienced to enhance healing and promote well-being. This operation represents a significant advance in our treatment for prostate cancer patients and we are delighted to offer this service to our patients.
