Metro Urology is now hiring for a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) at our Woodbury Office.

This position is Full-time, benefit eligible, some weekends and holidays are required.

Medical Lab Technician

Job Description: The MLT assists the laboratory manager, performs all in-house specimen testing and daily laboratory functions.  The MLT also performs phlebotomy, instrument maintenance, urinalysis testing, chemistry, hematology, microbiology and immunoassay testing.  Maintains a quality control program appropriate for testing performed in the lab.  Updating, initiating and implementing new laboratory policies and procedures.  Documents Quality Assurance, resolves technical problems and takes remedial actions whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performed specifications, and reviews all QC and maintenance logs.  The MLT ensures compliance with all CLIA and federal guidelines.

Requirements: Biology degree. Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Laboratory Technician.  A qualified applicant should possess strong technical skills, urology experience, and excellent ability to organize and work efficiently.  An applicant should also possess the ability to work independently and with others in a fast paced environment, communication skills, a willingness to work as a team and learn new things.

Metro Urology is now hiring for Surgery Scheduler in our St. Paul and Woodbury Offices, Monday-Friday

Both Positions are Full-time and Benefit Eligible

The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for the efficient scheduling of the patient and for the physician.  Responsible for entering all demographic information including checking patients insurance for pre-certifications, prior authorization and referrals.  The Surgery Scheduling serves as a liaison between hospitals, surgery centers and Metro Urology.  Responsibility for providing patients with all necessary information in regards to their procedure.  Including, but not limited to special diet or prep instructions, general insurance information, arrival times, dates, locations, etc.  Responsible for documenting scheduled surgeries in NextGen® under chart notes, including person and date who individual spoke to at the hospital or surgery center.  Also including time, date, prep and any special instructions to be given; and including if a representative has been notified of equipment needed for surgery or procedure.  Responsible for rescheduling and canceling surgery and post-op appointments in a way which minimizes any inconveniences to the patient, including notification to the correct hospital or surgery center.  Free parking, competitive salary and excellent benefits offered.  EEO employeer.

Requirements:  Knowledge of NextGen® Medical Practice Management System and Microsoft office Suite is preferred.  2+ years of experience in customer service, scheduling, or related field.

Metro Urology is now hiring for an Appointment Scheduler at our Woodbury location.  This is a full time position, days needed are: Monday-Friday

The Appointment Scheduler is responsible for scheduling office appointments, procedures as well as radiology testing.  This includes getting the necessary referrals, prior authorizations from insurance or communicating to the patient that a referral or prior authorization is necessary when appropriate.  Mail appointment packets, maps and preps for required appointments.  This also includes registration of new patients to include their current demographic and instructing the patient on relevant clinic financial and referral policies.  Free parking, competitive salary and excellent benefits offered.  EEO employer.
