Biography
Susan M Hellmann RN, BSN has been practicing as a nurse since 1982 and has been assisting patients at Metro Urology since January of 2000. Susan works in the Continence Care Department as a Biofeedback Therapist, working with both male and female patients who have problems with incontinence, urgency, frequency of urination or pelvic pain. Susan also works as a nurse educator, providing instruction to men who are having prostate surgery, and their partners, regarding continence. In biofeedback, Susan works to instruct people in how to relax or strengthen their pelvic muscles to improve their symptoms. This is accomplished through a non-invasive, non-painful method which also reviews the fluids they drink and/or medications they take, that could be contributing to their urinary or pain problems.
