FT Certified Coder
The Business Office at Metro Urology is currently accepting applications for a Coder at our Court International location in St. Paul. The Coding Specialist assigns appropriate ICD-9 codes, CPT and HCPCS codes to charge tickets in a timely manner. Also participates in physician reviews.
A qualified applicant should possess general medical terminology and business office practices through the completion of an insurance or medical secretary program, a minimum of 2 years experience, ability to organize and work efficiently, ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness, knowledge of coding and applicable regulations, ability to work independently and with others in a fast paced environment, good customer service and communication skills, and a willingness to work as a team and learn new things. Current certification or certification within a year of employment is required. Previous coding experience required.
Hours are 8-4:30pm M-F
