Dr. Knoedler completed his undergraduate education at the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and earned his M.D. at the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis. His post-graduate training is highlighted by residencies in general surgery and urology at the Cleveland Clinic where he spent time as Chief Resident (1989-1989). Dr. Knoedler has had specialty training in extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (ESWL), microsurgery, laparoscopic and robotic assisted surgery (the da Vinci®). With his robotic surgery partner, Dr. Gaertner, Dr. Knoedler has completed over 1000 robotic-assisted surgeries. Not only is Dr. Knoedler known for his forward-looking clinical interests, his patients often adore him for his fun nature. Also, to the dismay of his opponents, his surgical precision and skill are masterfully incorporated into his golf game.
